About the Practice

The practice of Dr. Damon DelBello is unique to the Hudson Valley area because of the scope and quality of orthopedic services offered. Dr. DelBello is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who has advanced fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedics and is an accomplished scoliosis and spinal deformity surgeon. The practice also offers advanced techniques for neuromuscular disorders, trauma, sports injuries, and limb lengthening and deformity correction. Also, available is the new genetic test for scoliosis prediction.

Surgery is performed at The Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, Northern Westchester Hospital Center, White Plains Hospital, Phelps Memorial Hospital, and Orange Regional Medical Center . Much of the complex pediatric orthopedic surgery is done at the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital because of the cutting edge pediatric subspecialty support available there.  Dr. DelBello is extensively involved with the pediatric orthopedic service at Westchester Medical Center and New York Medical College . He is responsible for the training of the residents for New York Medical College through lectures, clinical symposia, surgical training and publishing of studies.

Dr. DelBello has presented and published multiple research papers in highly respected orthopedic journals. Many of those papers have been presented at national and international meetings. He has also organized and presented numerous orthopedic symposia for the postgraduate education of pediatricians and orthopedic surgeons.  He is active in the development of spinal instrumentation and the teaching of other surgeons on the use of this equipment for scoliosis surgery.

He is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, the American Acedemy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, among others.

Practice Philosophy: The practice has made a significant commitment to offer quality orthopedic care to patients. That includes the care of all children including those without medical insurance. This is considered to be a solemn responsibility that is consistent as his role as a physician.
